There are a number of hotels and motels in the area. The establishments listed here are sponsors of the race, and will do their utmost to accommodate your needs.

       All hotel arrangements should be made with the hotels directly!

Are there any dormitory housing options?

Yes, we are proud to be able to offer housing at

Fitchburg State College, one of the race partners.

The circuit race is right next to the dorms.

What are the room options at Fitchburg State College?

    Due to renovations, we will be using different dorms – Russell Towers, right next to Holmes Dining Hall - on campus this year. The dorm has a large common room with kitchen, game room and laundry area.

A limited number of air conditioned rooms are available. Registration for them will close when they are fully booked. Bring a fan if you are in a room with no air conditioning.

What do the beds cost, and what is included?

Rooms are double occupancy, non-smoking.

What about food?

The food is provided by Chartwells Catering, which is Fitchburg State College’s food service provider.

You will receive:

Wednesday - Opening night banquet (Courtyard by Marriott, Fitchburg, Race HQ)

Thursday - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Friday - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Saturday  - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Sunday - Breakfast

Bagged lunches are provided if there is a start time conflict.

Can I check in a day early or stay over on Sunday night?

Can I stay just one or two nights?

      All reservations must be for the full race period of 4 nights, Wednesday July 1, 2009 through check out Sunday July 5, 2008.

How do I make reservations?

Make your reservations through www.bikereg.com. No other registrations will be accepted.

What is the reservation deadline?

      Registration will close when beds are filled, or 9 a.m. June 25 whichever comes first. All prices include BikeReg fee.

Can I get a refund?

      Refunds must be requested before 9AM. June 25, 2009 by contacting housing@longsjo.com. There will be a $30.00 service fee.

Can I room with my teammates?

      Teammates will be assigned rooms together whenever possible. Please make sure that all members of your team are registered under exactly the same team name on Bike Reg. Teams can register for a block of rooms.

Are dorms co-ed?

      Yes, the dorms are co-ed, but we will attempt to keep rooms single sex unless specific roommate requests have been received.

What else is provided?

      We provide a linen pack including sheets and towels. No pillows or blankets, please bring your own. Wireless internet access is available throughout campus.

What if I need last minute housing at the dorms?

      If any rooms have not been sold after the reservation deadline, they will be available at the college on a first-come, first served basis. Credit cards are not accepted at the dorms. Payment must be made by check.

When can I check in?

      Check in is Wednesday July 1, 2009 at the dorm from 3 – 10 pm. There will be a phone number posted for early or late arrivals.

How do I get there?

      Please visit www.fsc.edu. There are maps of the campus and the housing in the Russell Towers on North Street.

Is there any host housing?

There is very little host housing available. Most racers who have host housing are generally returning riders who have made friends in the community. You can send an email to housing@longsjo.com with details of what you are looking for. You can also try posting an inquiry to our Longsjo Forum / Google group. In the unlikely event that there is an available host, you will be contacted and put in touch directly with the host family. If no host housing is available, you will not be contacted.
